Country Fresh Farmers will be open every Friday, year round, wind and weather permitting. It is located across from The District at Green Valley Ranch, along Green Valley Parkway between the Henderson police department and the entrance to the Pavilion. You will enjoy shopping for fresh picked fruits and vegetables at the local Nevada farm stands as well as the California farm stands. In addition there will be bakery fresh bread and pastries, a variety of tasty salsas, pizza, kettle corn, hot dogs and ice cold drinks. You will also find household and gift items made by local artisans and crafters.

Multi-disciplinary scientist and television personality Ben McGee will present a talk centered on the use of nuclear weapons for planetary defense at the National Atomic Testing Museum in honor of Asteroid Day.
In it, the third annual Asteroid Day talk hosted by the museum, McGee explores the pop-cultural myths and incredible real-world history of nuclear explosions in space, separating science-fiction from science fact in the proposed use of weapons of mass destruction to thwart a civilization-ending cosmic collision.
